The Global IP Network division of NTT Ltd. appoints Doug Junkins as VP, IP Engineering Development

Redmond, Washington, US – 30 March 2022 – The Global IP Network Division of NTT Ltd., a global technology and business solutions provider, has announced the appointment of Doug Junkins as VP, IP Engineering Development. Reporting to Michael Wheeler, EVP of the Global IP Network Division, NTT Ltd., Junkins will be responsible for the network’s architecture and design, capacity planning, capital budgeting, and peering relations.

Junkins was most recently Field CTO at Guavus, a telecom analytics company. He previously held several positions at NTT Group companies, including being SVP and CTO at the NTT Innovation Institute, Inc. (NTT i3), an R&D center in Silicon Valley, and CTO and VP of Engineering at NTT America. Junkins previously led the IP Engineering team of the Global IP Network between 2002 and 2009.

Commenting on the appointment, Michael Wheeler, EVP of the Global IP Network Division, NTT Ltd., said “Doug has an extensive background in the industry and I’m very pleased to welcome him back to our organization.
